Rather than communities being in service of economies as is too often the case today, Wellbeing Economies are in services of people and their communities in harmony with the natural environment. Around the world
people are developing this vision with a range of labels that emphasize particular qualities, such as
regenerative-, circular, well-being-, sustainable-, and doughnut-economies. They are coming together in
Bounce Beyond in two forms:
Wellbeing Economies that are place-based (focused on a particular geographical area of activity e.g. towns, cities, political jurisdictions, watersheds, bioregions) with a broad engagement in economic transformation across sectors;
Our initial place-based communities:
Wellbeing Economies that are focused around particular issues/sectors (e.g. seafood, finance, tourism, education) with participants across a variety of places and digital platforms.
Our initial issue-based communities:
Within these forms, Bounce Beyond emphasizes the value of diversity of size, issues and economy labels. This
provides an unusually rich range of learning and supports resilience.
