WHY BOUNCE BEYOND?

While the global community has been on a destructive economic trajectory for decades, the Covid crisis has deepened the experience of decline for all of us. More and more civil society groups call for a ‘new normal’ as we prepare for life after lock down. Many governments have adopted the idea of ‘building back better’, meaning using the current structures and institutions for more sustainable outcomes. However, in order to address any of the multiple crises - environmental, political, social - we have to move towards what Buckminster Fuller described as ‘the new model that makes the old one obsolete’. The seeds of this new system are already present and activated. But they are also siloed and lacking the fertile soil of networks and infrastructure that will ensure they take root and grow strong enough, in time. Bounce Beyond is the people, actions and story of how that comes into being.
