Meenakshi Gupta 

Meenakshi is passionate about the dignity principle in development work and gender issues, especially around menstruation. She is co-founder of Goonj, a 21 years pan-India old nonprofit organization with multifaceted work that turns urban waste and efforts of rural communities into two new development currencies for poverty alleviation. Goonj has received several awards, and is headed by an Ashoka, Schwab, and Magsaysay awardee. Meenakshi also is Founding member of Catalyst2030. Meenakshi was the news publicist for South Asia for BBC News.

Meenakshi's Bounce Beyond role

I see my purpose in the group as being of a witness to holding the group accountable to its larger mandate to the people and nature. Also I see myself  as the voice of the practitioner and their challenges, mindset and strengths. I also see myself as someone who can work around the collaboration and cross learnings among different exemplars. I come from a a vast network of practitioners, innovators and grassroots movements and that I believe will also be beneficial to this work.
