Peter Jones

Peter teaches systemic design at OCAD University, Toronto, in the Strategic Foresight and Innovation Master of Design program. He is a co-founder of the Flourishing Enterprise Institute, of Drawdown Toronto, the Systemic Design Association (SDA), and the SDA’s Relating Systems Thinking and Design Symposia series. Through OCAD’s Strategic Innovation Lab and his innovation research firm Redesign Network, With Redesign Peter leads design programs for complex software and practice platforms, complex stakeholder design in business and community sustainability, and healthcare service and systems design. He is a leading expert in the Dialogic Design deliberation methodology for multi-stakeholder system planning and engagement, and is known for innovating new systems methodologies including the Systemic Design Toolkit, Systemic Theories of Change, and the Flourishing Business Canvas. Dr. Jones holds a PhD in design and innovation management and a Master’s in cognitive psychology - human factors.

Peter's Bounce Beyond Role

My role is to serve Bounce Beyond as a Chief Design Officer, to coordinate the design of strategies, services and ultimately systems in accordance to our transformation strategy.  This position on the team focuses my responsibility on the brand identity and its meaning,  the formation of a design system (a “house style” and its guidelines), and to lead a systemic design strategy for Bounce Beyond.  I consider the most transformative opportunity for design to develop Bounce Beyond as a system of new services, with high design production values, and to facilitate organizational system design and the ultimate Bounce Beyond social system.  I am also the Lead Steward for the Canadian  new economic context being developed through the Social Purpose institute.
